Pink & White Wedding Tower

Submitted by: Melissa Gaydon
Well, my wedding season has officially begun for 2012 with a wedding tower in pink and white with butterflies and a touch of the silver and pink cachous.
The bride, Kristie, and I managed to coordinate this entire creation via email.
A maxi cupcake served as the cutting cake. With Chocolate cake inside, I piped Vanilla buttercream up the sides with a 1M tip, then made smaller rose swirls around the top dotted with silver cachous. I used a pink double satin ribbon to finish off the base. The bride provided the fun beach couple cake topper.
I swirled the cupcakes with a 1M tip and topped them each with silver cachous and butterflies. I placed each silver cachous in place with tweezers. A timely endeavour, but the only way to ensure the silver sheen didn’t rub off them.
I made each butterfly by hand with the detail of pink cachous bodies.
